We have included all the countries which are members of Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN). Malaysia sits roughly in the middle of the nine countries which make up ASEAN , which together have a population of around 600 million people. They are all a different stages of political, economic and infrastructural development which makes them all the more interesting. Their histories have similarities but each country faced their own challenges and how they responded has impacted the country they have become today.
