After much anticipation, Malaysia’s first international theme park spanning, Legoland Malaysia, finally opens on 15 September 2012. Thousands of visitors who visited the park on opening day got to enjoy all of Legoland’s 40 rides and attractions. Those planning on visiting Legoland Malaysia once it opens (on 15 September 2012) can take advantage of the bus and shuttle services, which will begin operation on the opening day itself. These buses will operate every day from Johor Bahru’s Larkin Bus Station, Gelang Patah Sentral and Johor Premium Outlets. A daily dedicated bus service, operated by Konsortium Transnasional Berhad (KTB), will leave Larkin for Legoland every thirty minutes between 09.00am and midday. Slated to open on 15 September 2012, Legoland Malaysia is already expecting to generate RM100million in revenue, in its first year of operations, reports The Sun Daily. “We should see operational profit from the first year, but to recover our (full) investments will depend on the long-term development of the park, which usually takes about 15 to 20 years,” General Manager Siegfried Boerst was quoted as saying to the SunBiz.
