The IB Juniors of Sri KDU International School organised activities to create more awareness on the plight of breast cancer patients. The activities comprised of a bazaar and cake bake sale, writing empowering messages and quiz during lunch time, sponging the teachers, Mufti Day fashion. Funds raised during this event were channelled to the Malaysian Breast Cancer Welfare Organisation which supports breast cancer victims, and to Breast Cancer Research Malaysia. Some of the proceeds will be used to build homes for underprivileged Cambodians through the IB CAS Cambodia Trip Fund.

‘Retro I.T.’ was a maiden initiative by R.E.A.L Schools, Shah Alam Campus, to provide an avenue or event for young computer programmers to design their own arcade games such as ‘R.E.A.L Mario’ and ‘Pacman Bot’ – both throwbacks to popular 80s games. Serving as a competition as well, students presented their innovative game concepts and were evaluated based on gameplay, graphics, sound effects, programming, and presentation. Former England cricket captain Mr Michael Gatting conducted a cricket coaching clinic at Sri KDU International School recently. He shared his experiences of being a professional cricketer and related amusing stories of his matches. This reinforced the BLP (Building Learning Power) teaching pedagogy in the school. The College opened its gates for the 4th Annual Straits Touch Tournament on Saturday 2nd December. This year saw the largest Touch Rugby tournament to date, with a total of 32 teams from KL, Singapore, and a record of nine MCM teams, competing in U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 age categories. After taking his first steps on an ice rink 12 years ago at the tender age of five; national ice skater and R.E.A.L Schools student, Khairil Ridhwan, achieved his most significant milestone to date when he clinched gold at the 29th SEA Games here in Kuala Lumpur.
